Ra(o)ul Natureza Martin
Professional dancer, Choreographic artist, teacher in contemporary dance, choreographer from Reunion Island, Indian Ocean.
He questions the possibilities and the chimeras created by socio-cultural interbreeding.
He questions alienation and the absurd philosophy.
He began as a child fascinated by Martial Arts.
From the National Committee of Te Ku Do to competitions in mixed martial arts.
The intriguing report on rhythms and rituals led him to turn to fighting dances : Moringue from his home island and Capoeira from Brazil.
From adolescence, he performs in many different places, from theaters to street demonstrations, from museums to cultural events, in situ or unauthorized, in France, Spain, Portugal, Mauritius, Belgium, Holland, England, Switzerland ...
He also studied Philosophy, Psychology and Letters.
Following his meeting with Wes Howard (pioneer of the contemporary in France, Island of dance), in Avignon, it was unlimited contemporary dances that will attract his attention.
Initiated by this one he began by training in the Center Choreographic Chantal Brown.
He danced then on different stages of Reunion Island and joined a young multidisciplinary company then installed in the Lot, GrenDam Company for "In Lakesh" and "Rencontre en scène".
Thanks to his various experiences, he continued his professional course at the Choreographic Campus La Manufacture.
As an intern of the Vendetta Mathéa and Co Company, he obtained his Choreographic Artist's Certificate.
He performed for the Petit Futur Company :
"Nous sommes"
and took part in the choreographic research of the Surya Berthomieux Company.
He danced for Yutaka Nataka (Cie DIEM and interpreter of Carolyn Carlson) in the creation :
"Hide and Sick".
He then joined the special year of formation of the company Lullaby Danza Project by Alain Gonotey in Bordeaux.
He danced a creation of this one as well as for Lisa America, performed for Charlie LeMindu.
Performed in Santa Cruz for Goncalo Lobato (Ilu) and Ricardo Ambrozio (Ultima Vez, Untamed Production).
He danced for the Projects in Cia Movement Sharon Fridman at the Oerol festival in Holland :
"NIDO/Rizoma".
Performed for Natalia Iwaniec and Choreoscope in Spain as well as in the context of "Invisible Immersion" at the Teatro Dimitri di Verscio in Switzerland.
He participated in the research work "FerusAnimi / TerraNova" invited by Tomislav (Ultima Vez) (Brussels, London).

He participated at "Laboratoire en Chantier #1" for Cie Ex Nihilo.
He co-created the Company Adem Ran. From 2014 to 2022, he wrote and perform : "Cinco2Siete", "Nueve", "Umbra", " Ichi Ni San Shi" (Campus La Manufacture des Arts in Aurillac, Bordeaux, Toulouse, Brive, Brussels, Arts en Scène, Le Karbone in Lyon, Festival les Éruptives and Festival International du Théâtre de Rue). Giving workshops for professional movers and non professional one and also for people with disabilities.
He danced in short film ("Matière Nuit" collective in Lyon, RGB1 production, Adidas...) and took part in "Terrain Infini" for the chorégraphe of Company Kubilai Khan Investigation.
He takes part of the research of Company like ActingArt, Grimoire en Lumière...
He dances "Dissident(s)" with the Company Reflexe, Karim Gadamy.
He performs for Alina Noir : "Combat", "Keep this Body Alive", "La Blouse Roumaine", "Solitude(s)" thanks to Fondation Renaud Fort de Vaise, Lyon.

He joins the Rift House Dance of Marseille for "Parking" performances by Liam Warren a coproduction of La Horde/Ballet National de Marseille and Lieux publics.

Raoul Natureza is thus animated by the urgency of creation and the calm of risk, challenging himself by being rigorous and instinctif, often flirting with conventions.
